I found the drivers and software easy and strait forward to install I didn't encounter any problems even though I'm still using Windows XP on my desktop so I was pleased about that. It's also a bit less bulky than the old model an inch or so shorter so fitted easily into the space I had with plenty of room for the USB lead. This also means unlike the old model the bulb only comes on when the computer is on and the scanner is in use which saves power and bulb should last longer. Very impressed with this newer model I like the fact it's powered from the USB rather than needing an additional power supply.
